Hi there!
My name is Fionn. I’m an Irish artist, storyteller and the creator of Louie & Frankie.
As a kid growing up, I loved to draw, and I loved to read comic books. I would draw all the characters like Spider-Man, Superman, Batman and my favourite of all, Captain America! A huge inspiration for me is Marvel comics creators Stan “the man” Lee and Jack “King Kirby”.
I didn’t pay much attention in school. I was too busy drawing Cap punching the Red Skull, or the X-men fighting Magneto! From a young age I knew what I was going to do, but I never expected success to come easy, I worked hard to earn it.
At age 15, I started in retail. I became the youngest supervisor of a retail company at age 16, the youngest assistant manager of the same company at 18, and the first customer care manager in company history at 19. I learned how to listen, how to talk and how to conduct myself in a proper and respectful way, and also learned that everyone we know and don’t know, is facing something on the inside. So I learned how important it is to be kind.
I left retail to start my career in animation as a character designer, working for an Irish animation company to create characters for television platforms like Sky and Rte. My role was to create 2D characters before handing them to 3D animators. In 2023, I decided it was time to start working for myself!
I created Louie&Frankie, a storybook designed to show young people the importance of understanding, exploring and expressing their emotions.
